Dear Albanian Society,
We are excited to announce that our Albanian Community Association in collaboration with the Shepparton Heritage Centre Museum, is creating a special section dedicated to celebrating the early migration of Albanian families. As one of the oldest communities in Shepparton, this is a unique opportunity to honor and preserve our shared history.
We warmly invite people from the early migration period (1920s–1950s) to contribute items that tell the story of your journey and settlement in Shepparton. Examples of items to consider include:
- Old passports
- Employment or business records
- Traditional attire or clothing
- Family photographs or images of farms and workplaces
- Shipping passenger records
- Letters (original or translated)
- Handwritten memories (original or translated)
- Unique artifacts or any items of historical significance
These treasured items will help create a rich and meaningful display that reflects the contributions and resilience of the Albanian community.
